Lineage filters
Filter recorded lineage, then resolve the evidence explicitly.
Filter a generation
DISCOVER AgentDefinition WHERE lineage_reference.generation = 1 LIMIT 20The query filters complete records by their stored lineage metadata. lineage_reference.human_root_did selects the recorded root DID. A missing optional lineage reference is not fabricated by the query engine.
Resolve the chain
For a selected entry, call GET /v1/entries/{did}/lineage using a URL-encoded DID. Inspect the returned chain and verify the relevant identity evidence. This is a separate operation from discovery.
Boundaries
Despite this legacy route's name, MARS-QL does not run recursive traversal or SQL joins. Generation and root metadata can narrow candidates; they do not prove current delegation authority or a verified human ceremony.
