Federation API
Signed peer traffic and operator control.
Peer protocol
Sync and peer discovery accept signed federation envelopes. Peers must be selected and pinned by the operator. Message kind, recipient, nonce, lifetime, agreements, and scopes are validated.
Registry discovery and administration
Peer listings and the registries alias expose discovery information. Update self is protected. Peer status requires admin capability.
Disabled by default
Do not point a client at arbitrary peer URLs or assume federation is enabled. See operator configuration.
